Sponsorship / Adoption

Suppressed Images

We are fully aware that there are many people who suffer from arachnophobia and even the 'S' word is upsetting to them.

We do have such creatures however we have suppressed the images of them in the list of our animals.

Please be aware that the 'more details' button WILL show you the actual picture!

Why sponsorship is important to us...

On average, a small animal, such as a lesser tenrec, costs us £10 per week to feed, £1500 per year to house, and about £50-100 per year on veterinary care.  Large animals, such as boa constrictors, cost several times these amounts.  Our electricity bill (solely for the animals) is £500 per month.

Sponsors/adopters have an extremely important role to play within every organisation, and their contribution to our work is never underestimated by us.

We also care for and rehabilitate many injured raptors (owls and birds of prey) we have brought to us by vets, the police, members of the public etc.  Once the birds are well, they are released back to the wild.  Our vet, food and housing bill for these casualties averages about £10,000 per year.  A large portion of these costs are normally offset by our regular events and displays throughout the UK, along with the generous donations given to us by our supporters, including the sponsors/adopters of our animals.  These generous contributions help us to ensure that we can afford to give our animals the best, and never have to turn away any injured raptors brought to us.

Our sponsorship/adoption scheme was started through popular demand, and allows affordable sponsorship/adoption of our animals.

All sponsors/adopters receive a certificate of sponsorship.  These make a wonderful gift.

Sponsorship/adoption runs for 12 months, with the opportunity to renew.

In these unprecedented times, when everyone’s income is adversely affected, we have set our adoption/sponsorship levels to ensure that they are within everyone’s reach.

Three levels of sponsorship are available and all sponsors/adopters receive a certificate with photograph of their adopted/sponsored animal.  The certificate will indicate the level of support, and give details of the specific animal.
